The talk about the birds and the bees is a daunting one for any parent, but one dad from Wigan was left horrified after his daughter came home with a rather unorthodox sexual health booklet. Titled ‘101 Ways to Show Someone You Love Them Without Having Sex’ the book is designed to avoid teenage pregnancy and listed all manner of alternatives, including “nibble their ears”, “walk a thousand miles for one of their smiles” and “suck their toes”. Could this book really be the solution to tackling sex education with teens, or should it be down to the parents to educate their own children about safe sex? The panel debate.
