Why Errol Fabien?

Countless other persons; laymen and celebrities of all types have had reason to appeal to the kind-hearted inclinations of the people of Trinidad & Tobago but none have met with such generosity & outpourings of love, care & concern than Errol Fabien!

On October 01st, 2020, Uncle Errol lit his S.O.S flare when the bank moved in to evict him from his home in St. Joseph which also houses local television station, Gayelle. Items of value were being removed with a view toward recollection of outstanding debt which had accrued after Mr. Fabian was severely affected by a near no revenue situation as a result of his inability to work or earn because of the pandemic and resulting national lockdown.

Errol's family immediately worked to set up a 'Go Fund Me' account and encouraged him to appeal to the public, which he did as a very last resort when no other option was available to him. What happened thereafter shocked the nation and set records where none existed before. Beloved Errol Fabien received a whopping US $60,000 in less than 24 hours - saving his home, the studio, the national archives and recorded history of these twin isles that Gayelle contains!

But, why Errol Fabien? Why was he met with this abundant & overflowing generosity where others had failed to even garner interest in otherwise worthy, sometimes life saving causes? What is special about him that resonated so much with the people of Trinidad & Tobago? This is the subject of episode eight (08) of Trini Inspiration from Fuzz Events & Entertainment Ltd, as we seek to offer some suggestion as to why we think Trinbagonians responded to his appeal in the manner & rapidity with which they did.

Trini Inspiration pays homage to Errol Fabien whom we see as a national treasure, cultural & entertainment icon, inspiration, storyteller, comedian, patriot & hero! We also surprised uncle Errol with a special honour that we never would have thought of giving to anyone else - so please do view till the end as it was a token gesture intended to recognize & immortalize this living legend while he is here to appreciate it!
