We are delighted to present the interview series 'My Baroque' with harpsichordist and conductor Trevor Pinnock.

In this final episode of ‘My Baroque’ Trevor Pinnock describes the huge influence of music in his life, which obviously already started at a very young age. The different moods flowing out of music have always been a tremendous joy for Pinnock: “When the music starts, I come alive”, he confirms with enthusiasm.

In the second part of the interview Pinnock focuses on the difference between playing continuo and playing as a soloist. As a continuo player the main task is to provide a service to others that they can feel free. This is contrary to the task for a soloist, who has to be completely free for oneself.
