Top Censored and Removed Simpsons Episodes
Описание
What is up you guys?? So today, I'm going to show you the Top Censored Simpsons Episodes. None of these are in any order.
Time Stamps and Context:
0:34 - "Thirty Minutes Over Tokyo" was banned from airing everywhere in Japan because of a scene making fun of the real life Anime Episode causing seizures throughout Japan. This joke rubbed the country the wrong way, so they just got rid of the entire episode, going as far as to remove from the DVD release.
2:20 - “The Cartridge Family” was decided not to air in the UK because of its depiction of gun use. The Dublane School Massacre happened a year before this episode which was the main reason it was censored from UK television. From the episodes' release in 1997 to 2002/2005 it never aired.
4:41 - "Weekend At Burnsie's" shows Homer using medical Marijuana throughout the entire episode. Eventually Homer gets addicted to it. In America, Fox censored a lot of scenes where Homer uses the drug. This was one of the few episodes where it was giving a TV-14 ratting. In the UK however, it was banned altogether on the Sky One channel.
6:26 - "Blame It On Lisa" had the Simpsons take a vacation to Brazil looking for an orphan. The whole episode was based on stereotypical jokes about Brazil. Obviously Brazil didn't like this, so they banned it from airing. The City of Rio De Janeiro threatened to sue the Simpsons. But Once James L. Brooks made a public apology, Rio dropped their lawsuit, and it continues to now air in Brazil despite it's controversy.
7:29 - "Homer's Phobia" is considered by many as one of the best Simpsons episodes. John Water's performance was spectacular. The episode centered around Homer fearing that Bart maybe gay. It was said that just about every line in the episode had to be censored and re-written because of its homosexual jokes. It tried to limit the word "gay" as much as possible.
9:07 - "The City Of New York Vs. Homer Simpson" did not air in America after the 9/11 terrorist attacks because of the entire episode focusing around the Twin Towers. Understandable. It aired back again in 2007, but still to this day it airs very infrequently. There was a lot of censored lines after it started to air again. One scene they cut out shows two guys arguing between the two towers. One guy says "“They stick all the jerks in Tower One!”
10:34 - “A Streetcar Named Marge” made the City of New Orleans sue The Simpsons. There was a musical in the episode that just totally made fun of and bashed the city. On the next episode, Bart writes on the chalkboard, “I Will Not Defame New Orleans.” as an apology. Well after that, in 2005 Channel 4 aired this episode right after hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans. That was terrible timing. Channel 4 apologized and since then, the episode has
never aired in the city.
12:16 - "Marge Gets A Job" airing was stopped in Japan because of its scene where Bart fantasies what would happen if radiation where to flow through the city. This was because of Japan's 2011 Nuclear Emergency.
13:01 - "Cape Feare" is another Simpson Episode that is considered to be one of the best. However because of a Joke that McBain made about homosexuals, Germany banned Cape Feare between 1993 to 1999.
13:41 - "Day of the Jackanapes" is another episode that stopped being aired after 9/11. This episode showed Sideshow Bob attaching bombs on Bart (as a suicide bomber). This episode began airing again in 2004.
15:43 - “Treehouse of Horror XXVII” was rescheduled from 7:00pm to 8:45pm in New Zealand because of how graphic it was. It was to avoid little kids from watching it. But after this, is was just removed altogether on the TVNZ Network.
17:23 - "Looking for Mr Goodbart" is an episode Russia didn't not like. Only because there was a "possible attack" against the Russian Orthodox. Then in 2016 a Russian blogger went into a church to catch a Pokemon. That just added to mess. They stopped airing the episode because of its controversy.
18:04 - Couch Gag in "MoneyBart". I mean, do I really need to explain this?
19:15 - Now, this is an episode that has a lot of current controversy. "Stark Raving Dad" it's a brilliant episode that has Michael Jackson guest staring in it. Jackson plays a mental instituted character who thinks he is MJ. In January of 2019, a documentary, "Leaving Neverland", had two men accuse Michael Jackson of sexually assaulting them when they were 7 and 10. Well, after this The Simpsons' producers completely took this episode off air of all TV Networks. Agree with it or not, this is the biggest episode that The Simpsons removed. But hey, you can still pirate it.
