Domestic violence has been at a 10-year high in this lockdown period, according to National Commission for Women. While the coronavirus pandemic has impacted everyone, it's been a double whammy for women. Not only are they reeling under increased household work, with their children and husbands now at home 24x7. They are now also subjected to more violence and abuse at home. Cases of rape, molestation, domestic violence, dowry abuse, physical and sexual violence have risen quite sharply. NCW says this is just the tip of the iceberg, the actual number of cases are much higher. In this episode we talks about why the cases are rising. What victims of domestic violence can do.
