Anwesshaa appeared on national television for the first time in the year 2007. Thereafter, I have been a part of various other shows. My first breakthrough in Bollywood was in Golmaal Returns for Pritam Chakraborty when I was 14. Films like I am 24, Raanjhanaa, Revolver Rani, love u soniyo, paanchlait, Dangerous Ishq, I am Banni, Kaanchi, Prem Ratan Dhan payo, Do lafzon ki kahani, Just Tigdam, The Final Encounter, Bansuri, etc etc led me towards the silver screen. Among Indian regional languages, I have been getting wonderful songs in Bangla, Tamil, Telegu, Kannada, Malayalam, Gujarati, Marathi, Nepali, Rajasthani, Bhojpuri. I've done playbacks for around 500 movies across all languages till date. I've been bestowed upon by honours like Filmfare Award (East), Mirchi Music Award (Bangla and South), Tele Cine Award, Big Music Award, Women Entertainers Award, Star Parivar Award, Chitrapat Padarpan Puraskar (Marathi non-film), Academia Award (from Los Angeles, USA for independent song), etc. etc. I've worked as a Composer songwriter in two Bangla films recently and released a few singles.
