More about Gabe:

Gabe Kunda is a well-established voice actor who has shown his range in different aspects of voice over such as Promo, Trailers, Commercials, Narration, Corporate, Live Announce, Radio Imaging, Video Games and Animation. He has done voice work for big media conglomerates and platforms such as TNT, TBS, Paramount Network, MLB Network, Golf Channel, Disney, NICK, FOX, FUNimation TV, FX, Jimmy Kimmel, CNN, Gold Gyms and many more.

He has also made his print in the anime industry. His best-known roles include Rock Lock in My Hero Academia, Rubalt and Zirloin in Dragon Ball Super, Tiger in One Piece: Wan pisu as well as Gueldre and Boulra in Black Clover. Gabe has also voiced roles on shows including Attack on Titan, Dr. Stone, Fairy Tail, Tokyo Ghoul, Ace Attorney, Full Metal Panic! Invisible Victory, Joker Game, Hand Shakers, Chaos;Child, The Legend of the Galactic Heroes, Lord of Vermillion: The Crimson King, Nichijou: My Ordinary Life and many more.

Gabe first discovered his affinity for voice over as an adolescent at Mansfield High School when he was asked to read out loud in class. He decided to put some emotions and feelings into the class reading and found to his surprise that many of his classmates, instead of laughing, were paying attention and listening attentively to his voice. This led to his teacher picking him to read out loud every time, which eventually led to a job doing the school announcements. However, it wasn’t until he stumbled across the YouTube video “Million Dollar Voices” that he realized that voice over was a path that he wanted to pursue. He took radio broadcasting courses in school which led him to participate in the SkillsUSA competition, where he became one of the first African Americans in his district to win on a national level.

While doing voice over work, he enrolled at Dallas Baptist University to pursue music education where he had hoped to teach choral music. By the time senior year came around, Gabe’s voice over career skyrocketed and he dropped his initial plans to teach music.

This interview with Gabe was filmed at My Hero Con: Texas Smash! It was held in Irving, Texas.
