Since its launch 15 years ago, Aurora Orchestra has established itself amongst Europe’s leading chamber orchestras, combining trailblazing concert presentation with the very highest musical quality. To mark the launch of the orchestra’s debut album on the Yellow Label, we revisit an electrifying concert given by Aurora at the Royal Albert Hall for the BBC Proms in 2016 – the first-ever performance of Mozart’s ‘Jupiter’ symphony delivered entirely from memory.

Before the performance, we hear directly from the players about the process of memorizing an entire symphony and watch as conductor Nicholas Collon and presenter Tom Service harness the amazing potential of an orchestra performing by heart to get under the skin of Mozart’s music.
