Air Midwest Flight 5481, a Beechcraft 1900D (registered N233YV) was a flight between Charlotte, North Carolina and Greenville, South Carolina on January 8, 2003 with 21 passengers and crew on board.

The Crash:
The flight took off from Charlotte and began to pitch up violently. The plane then stalled and nose dived. It then crashed into a US Airways hangar killing everyone on board. There were two fatal flaws that contributed to this accident. The turnbuckles that were controlling tension on the elevator had been set incorrectly, not giving the pilots enough control. The other factor was that the plane was overloaded. It weight about 580 pounds (264kg) more than the maximum limit. These two factors caused the plane to stall and crash.
